Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Calca - Quiswarani - Yanacocha

Early in the morning we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco in our private transportation. We will take you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the town of Calca. Here we will stop so you can buy items in a store that you need to start the adventure.

We will continue the trip to Quiswarani, the starting point of the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu. Here we will meet our cooks and muleteers who will accompany us on this trip.

We will begin our walk ascending to the Hualcacassa Pass located at 4225 meters above sea level. Here you can see the seven lagoons and the peaks of the Andean mountains. A unique experience.

We will stop for lunch. Our chefs will delight you with typical Andean food. We will continue walking after lunch to our second pass, Paso Qolqecasa, located at 4200 meters above sea level. We will go down the hill for thirty minutes to our first camp at Yanacocha.

Day 2Yanacocha - Huacahuasi - Mantanay

After a delicious breakfast we will continue our journey descending. On the way you will be able to observe traditional Andean houses, agriculture and Andean crops that are the livelihood of many families in the area.

You can also observe Andean animals such as alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. We will continue our walk to the highest point of the walk, the Aururocassa Pass located at 4600 meters.

Upon arrival you can enjoy the tranquility of pure nature, enjoy the view of the Lares Valley and all its landscape. Finally we will go down to our second camp in Mantanay. After a delicious dinner you will rest in your comfortable tent.

Here we will stop to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of nature and enjoy the immaculate view of the Lares Valley. Then we will go down the hill to the Mantanay camp.

Day 3Mantanay - Yanahuara - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

We will wake you up with a delicious breakfast to continue with our walk. We will descend through quinoa and potato fields until we reach Yanahuara. Here we will stop for lunch.

After lunch we will say goodbye to our cooks and muleteers. We will go to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here we will board the train to Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival at the town of Aguas Calientes we will accommodate you at your hotel and you will have the afternoon free. You can explore the streets of this rustic town or relax in its thermal baths, very famous for them.

At night our guide will give you indications for the next day, the most awaited.

Day 4Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early in the morning the hotel staff will give you a box of snacks. Then we will take you to the bus terminal where you will board the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu.

Upon reaching the entrance of the citadel, you will go through a control. Here they will verify your passport, so we recommend you bring your original passport.

After passing the control with our guide, you will tour the entire citadel and obtain more information about the culture and history of the Inca civilization.

Following the tour with our guide, you will have the opportunity to explore the citadel on your own; we recommend going to the sun gate, which provides a wonderful perspective of this global wonder.

Our guide will lead you to the entrance if you have booked a hike to Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu Mountain.

After visiting this wonder, you will board the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. Here you will have free time so you can have lunch or get to know the town.

Finally you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo town where our driver awaits you to take you back to Cusco to your accommodation.
