If you are a lover of challenges, you like varied climates and unique landscapes, this tour is ideal for you. This tour is one of the most popular as it is full of beautiful landscapes, trails surrounded by imposing mountains, cloud forests, and a variety of animals.
Despite the fact that the Inca civilisation built this road centuries ago to reach the stronghold of Machu Picchu, the two-day Inca Trail is now regarded as one of the top hikes in South America. The path is roughly 11 kilometers long, with stops at the Wiay Wayna Archaeological Zone and other archaeological sites.
This trip will take you through a tropical climate with a wide variety of wildlife and flora, as well as learning about the Inca construction skills and agriculture that they were able to grow; all of this will be discussed by our experienced guide.

Very early in the morning we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco in our private transportation. We will take you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here you will board the train that will take you to the starting point of the walk.
The train trip is a true adventure, for three and a half hours you will enjoy the landscapes that this route presents to the starting point of the Inca Trail, Km. 104.
Before crossing the Vilcanota River, we will pass through a checkpoint. Crossing the bridge to the opposite side, we can see the Chachabamba Inca Architectural Ensemble, which is located on the historic Inca route that ran along the southern bank of the Vilcanota River. This site was significant, dedicated to spiritual activities and serving as a stop for the access route to Machu Picchu, it was built by the Inca empire.
We will travel from Chachabamba, passing through some forests, diverse vegetation, streams and an impressive waterfall. We will continue our walk after admiring the waterfall until we reach the Wiñay Huayna Inca Architectural Complex. We will take a tour of the area with our guide, who will provide us with more information about the location.
After seeing this site, we will continue our walk for another two hours until we reach the second checkpoint. After passing the control, we will arrive at the iconic Inti Punku or Portal del Sol after climbing the 50-step staircase, where we will be able to obtain a complete panoramic image of Machu Picchu.
After enjoying this first view of the citadel, we will board a bus that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes. Here we will install you in a hotel so you can rest.
If you wish, you can tour the town or visit the thermal baths, very famous for their medicinal waters.
Early in the morning the hotel staff will give you a box of snacks. Then we will take you to the bus terminal where you will board the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Upon reaching the entrance of the citadel, you will go through a control. Here they will verify your passport, so we recommend you bring your original passport.
After passing the control with our guide, you will tour the entire citadel and obtain more information about the culture and history of the Inca civilization.
Following the tour with our guide, you will have the opportunity to explore the citadel on your own; we recommend going to the sun gate, which provides a wonderful perspective of this global wonder.
Our guide will lead you to the entrance if you have booked a hike to Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu Mountain.
After visiting this wonder, you will board the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. Here you will have free time so you can have lunch or get to know the town.
Finally you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo town where our driver awaits you to take you back to Cusco to your accommodation.
