Tour Details

The South Valley of Cusco is another popular Cusco trip, suitable for those who want to learn more about the history of Cusco in three distinct but related periods.

Several cultures, including the Inca civilization, exploited this valley and used its land for the construction of platforms and archaeological fortresses.

You will visit the archaeological sites of Tipon and Pikillacta, as well as a colonial church in Andahuaylillas, with our guide, a wonderful mix for lovers of nature, culture and history in the pre-Inca, Inca and colonial periods.

Tipon

A complex of agricultural terraces, stairways and stone water channels make up this archaeological site. It represents the advance of Inca agriculture, as well as its aqueduct technology, which was used to irrigate its crops and have abundant production.

Pikillacta

Another pre-Inca Empire archaeological site constructed by the Wari civilization. With its ceremonial center, terraces, and walls up to 7 meters high, it is regarded as one of the best preserved sites.

Andahuaylillas The Sistine Chapel

This little town has kept its colonial homes and ancient traditions, with the Church of San Pedro being dubbed “America’s Sistine Chapel” because of its baroque décor, which includes paintings, sculptures, and carvings on the walls and ceiling.
